Physical Therapy in the Stairwell

Tania's sister, Sonia, and her husband, Eldon, arrived for a Christmas visit yesterday afternoon. They arrived in time for Sonia to assist Tania in a Christmas tree decoration activity. This morning Sonia and Tania played catch with a ball (about the size of a volleyball), and Tania arranged playing cards by the four suits. During speech therapy, Tania used her voice a little more today than she has recently (she tends to mostly communicate in a whisper).

In the afternoon physical therapy session, two therapists helped her climb six stairs and then come back down sideways with both hands on the rail. She also walked approximately 30 steps in the gym with Tara and my assistance. Although a major winter storm is dumping snow on Denver today, we hope the roads will clear up so we will feel safe to bring her home for a few hours on Friday to celebrate Christmas. Thanks so much for your support and prayers. Merry Christmas.
