Today I was able to be there for Tania's afternoon speech therapy session. She played a word game where she had to match words on slips of paper with a heading. The headings were Food, Books of the Bible, Jewelry and Animals. The therapist handed Tania slips of paper with written words like zebra, necklace, Psalms and hamburger and she appropriately matched the words and headings. Go Mom!
We have a basket in her room with get well cards that we have received and we are reading 4-5 of these cards to her each day. One of my favorites is in the picture above. The inside of the bandaged turtle card read "It's not the speed that matters. It's the getting there." The message is certainly fitting for us. We are so thankful for the progress that Tania is making, but it is very slow. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.
