Tania and her family are adjusting to Kindred. This is a change from the level of nursing care (2 patients for one nurse) in ICU. Kindred uses team nursing which is 3 nurses for approximately 10 patients.
Tania is experiencing some edema in her legs and Debbie requested the nurses monitor this. Her color was greatly improved after they suctioned her lungs yesterday.
On Friday the nurses gave Tania a bath and got her spruced up for family visitors. They even put an orchid flower in her hair. They are brushing her teeth 3 times a day - Sonia calls it the "Sponge-Bob" toothbrush.
Tania sleeps the majority of the day. She even slept through physical therapy on Friday.
