From Intensive Care to an Acute Care Hospital

This sunny afternoon Tania got promoted from the ICU at Littleton Adventist Hospital to Select Speciality Hospital, a long term acute care facility within the Porter Hospital complex. Before leaving ICU she was awake and responding to several of the nurse's commands to move toes and fingers. After she arrived at Select she was thoroughly examined and evaluated. Tara, Travis, Laycee and I were pleased with the level of care she received upon her arrival at Select and we are looking forward to a slow recovery process. I mentioned that the hospital's task was to help improve her brain, blood (not too thin or too thick) and brawn (muscle atrophy is an issue after two months of inactivity) between now and Thanksgiving. Although we are seeing some improvement, she is still quite fragile and in need of prayer for healing. Thank you for your continuing support.
