Dr. Prall spent some time with Tania this morning to observe her progress. The lumbar drain continues to relieve her brain and spinal column of approximately 10 ml of CSF per hour. Under normal conditions, the CFS would be clear, but in Tania's case it is a pinkish color as the blood clots in the brain that developed last week are broken down and removed from her body. Dr. Prall indicated that this process may take another four to six days before he would consider a surgercial procedure to replace the shunt (permanent internal drain for the CFS). Tania continues to sleep nearly all of the time, but the nurse this morning said she did open her eyes a little more than she did yesterday. Thanks for your continued prayer support.
