A Stable Day

The night nurse told me early this morning that Tania had a stable night and she did not have an above normal temperature. The lumbar drain continues to work properly according to the day shift nurse. After lunch today, Travis and Laycee experienced a brief time when Tania had her eyes open and tracked their conversation by focusing on each one of them individually. Due to H1N1 flu concerns Saydie is no longer permitted to visit grandma as the hospital is denying access into the ICU of anyone under the age of 18. Tania's breathing is much improved from last week and she is on two antibiotics to ward off infections. Perhaps tomorrow or Friday, she will wake up for a few more minutes.
