Dr. Prall wrote on Tania's chart this morning that he plans to perform surgery to switch the exterior brain fluid drain to an interior drain (shunt) on Friday. I expressed some concern regarding this invasive procedure to a nurse recently. She replied, "Aw Honey, with what she has already been through, this is nothing". The procedure is expected to take approximately one hour to complete.
