9-3 Tracheotomy

Tania had a Tracheotomy put in today to replace the ventilator. Wikipedia explanation - Tracheotomy is a surgical procedure on the neck to open a direct airway through an incision in the trachea (the windpipe).

She also had a new PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) line put in.

After both of these procedures, the sedation is wearing off. Ryan came in today and her eyes opened and followed him and she raised her hand slightly and squeezed his hand. He was excitied to have a response from her!

  2. We are following the progress of Tania closely. We are all praying for her. Our daughter put her on their prayer chain in NY so she has lots of prayers going on. Thanks for keeping us posted.

  3. This must all be so entirely scarey for each of you. We are so sorry for all that you have been through. Know that we are praying for Tania and that God is in control of her body. She will have an amazing story to share someday. Bill and Debby Carter (CoBank connection)
