Tania started the migration away from the feeding tube today by eating all three meals with a spoon. Each meal was served by a nurse who helped Tania put the food into her mouth. Her lunch was turkey and mashed potatoes. Her dinner included rice, pork and broccoli with milk to drink.
Tania was tested during occupational therapy and had some trouble with her eye/hand coordination. She actually wrote her name so I could read it, but when she tried to write our address, it was not legible. Physical therapy continues to improve as she sat unassisted for a couple minutes on the therapy mat that is elevated about 18 inches off of the floor. Even Tania's therapists are impressed at how much she has progressed in the first two weeks at Craig Hospital.
