A skybridge connects the older part of Craig hospital with the newer building. The skybridge crosses over Clarkson Street and is enclosed on both sides with glass. We were able to wheel my Mom out onto the skybridge to see the snow covered streets and the pretty white trees.
She is now able to sit in her wheel chair for 2 hours per day. The chair has a 20 minute timer to remind her caretaker to move her into a different position to shift the weight pressure points.
Given her relaxed weekend schedule, I was able to give her a manicure. It was a little challenging to give a manicure to someone who is half sleeping, but we managed. When I was done she looked at her fingers and I asked if they were better and she nodded yes.
