Occupational and Speech Therapy

This morning, Laycee and Saydie observed Tania during occupational therapy (the functions of life according to one of her therapists). The commands and movement requested by the therapist caused Tania to increase her level of alertness. Immediately following OT, Julie conducted approximately 30 minutes of speech therapy. Tania was able to verbally answer most of the questions, but became fatigued near the end of the session and chose not to answer some of the questions. One exercise during the morning speech therapy session involved identifying which of two playing cards was the higher number.

This afternoon, I observed the second speech therapy session. Tania was able to identify me as her husband and answered approximately 70% of Julie's questions. She was fatigued following speech therapy and did not complete a physical therapy session today. There are no scheduled therapy sessions during the next two days, so hopefully she will be well rested by Monday.
