At noon today Tania was given a test to determine if she could swallow food again. She passed the test! Over the next several days she will begin to take food into her mouth. This is another excellent sign of recovery progress.
Since she was in her wheel chair at noon, the physical therapist decided to move her PT to an earlier time. Likewise, the speech therapist also completed her time with Tania prior to 3:00 p.m. When I arrived at the hospital later in the afternoon, Tania was sleeping; but by 5:00 p.m. she was back in her wheel chair again and ready for short visits with several friends this evening.
