"It's Just Like Riding a Bike, You Never Forget."

Today we went to the hospital at around 2:00 to see Grammy. When we showed up she was sitting in her chair very tired from having a long day of speech and occupational therapy. We decided to let her nap for the next half hour to be rested for a full hour of physical therapy.

Once we (Travis, Laycee, Saydie, and Jean) made our way to the gym, grammy finally opened her eyes to see Saydie smiling at her. Grammy got on the bike and was pedaling on her own. I guess the saying's true "it's just like riding a bike, you never forget."

After Grammy was finished on the bike we headed to a quiet room with another added guest Christine. There Grammy was able to stand on two feet (with help) and was communicating with her physical therapist very well. The therapist was trying to get to know her better and was asking her questions. She had found out that Grammy was a woman who likes cleanliness and playfully asked her if she wouldn't mind coming to her house and cleaning her windows. Grammy responded "Well, how many you got?" The room immediately filled with laughter. We know that she still has her wonderful sense of humor. Just like we said, the saying is true "it's just like riding a bike, you never forget."
