Like a college campus, orientation day at Craig Hospital included a lot of new activities. This morning Tania had x-rays to check on blood clots and a CT scan to determine how well the shunt was working. I met with a family counselor and Tara met with the doctor that specializes in treating blood clots. This afternoon, Tania had her first real shower in 81 days while sitting in a speciality wheel chair. Following the shower she was fitted to her personal (purple) wheel chair that has a much better seat cushion than the shower chair.
She is scheduled for two hours of occupational and physical therapy tomorrow in three different sessions. We are pleased with the staff dedication to help Tania recover and are looking forward to observing and participating in her therapy sessions tomorrow.
